Armagetronad and The Battle for Wesnoth were longstanding candidates for this server. Both games are classics. While the former pays tribute to a great movie's lightcycle game, the other one is the epitome of free software gaming itself. Wesnoth is not only a great and complete strategy game with myriads of features and content but also a really successful open source project that has been attracting developers, artists and gamers for more than 11 years now.
