I installed the Mesecons and Pipeworks mods by popular demand and removed Gemalde again. Unfortunately it was also necessary to disable the bucket mod to stop players from griefing with water.
The server is currently affected by Minetest bug #2610 and crashes from time to time due invalid map blocks and some kind of memory leak.
